Club Director: Brent Newell

My name is Brent Newell and I am the varsity volleyball coach at Leipsic High School. I am also the digital learning coordinator at Leipsic Local School. I graduated from Leipsic High School in 2000, and from BGSU in 2004 with a major in K-12 Health/PE. I have a master’s degree in athletic administration and have 14 years of coaching experience. In 2018 I was honored as the District 8 Coach of the Year, Blanchard Valley Conference Coach of the Year, and Putnam County League Coach of the Year. I was also awarded the Putnam County League Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2014, and the Midland Athletic League Coach of the Year in 2010.   I coached the district 7 all-star game in 2010, and also the district 8 all-star game in 2013, 2015, and 2018. I am very excited for another club season, and take great pride in being a club director.

11-Bunn: Coach Mark Bunn

Mark Bunn has been coaching for 15 years. He has coached at the following schools: Columbus Grove, Pandora Gilboa, and he will be entering his 11th year at Van Buren with an overall record of 137-79, BVC (52-35).  During those years Mark was named BVC Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2009.  He was also awarded District 8 Coach of the Year in 2009.  He loves the sport, and working with youth to learn the game, team work, and everyday life lessons through teachable moments. Mark enjoys spending time with his AMAZING wife Bridgett (Inducted into the University of Findlay Hall of Fame for Volleyball) and their five kids, Vivian (13), Selma (11), Carter (6), Everett (4) and Lucy (1)

 

11-Bunn: Coach Ashley Siefer

I am Ashley Siefer a 2003 graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School. I was a 3 year letter winner as 6 rotation setter. I was awarded 1st team honors for BVC and PCL along with participating in 2 All- star games. Following high school I played one season at Rhodes State College. I knew I always wanted to coach volleyball once my girls were old enough. I have 4 daughters that I love to share this game with. Currently I have an 8th grader, 4th grader, 1stand Kindergarten at Leipsic. I am a Physical Therapist Assistant and currently work for Interim Healthcare as a therapy coordinator. My coaching career started at Pandora- Gilboa in 2015 coaching the freshman team, the following year I coached the junior high, and 2017 was PG head varsity coach. Last club season I was assistant coach at Elite Volleyball in Plain City.  I am also the owner/coach at Champions Volleyball Skills & Training.


 

12-Hovest: Coach Ciara Hovest

My name is Ciara Hovest and I graduated from Pandora-Gilboa in 2012. After I graduated high school, I went to Rhodes State College for my Associates Degree and then went on to get my Bachelor Degree in Accounting through Franklin University. Since I’ve been out of high school, I coached Cheerleading at Pandora for 4 years and club volleyball at Northwest Ohio through Paulding for a year. In 2016, I coached the 7th grade volleyball team at Leipsic, and for the past two years I have coached the Freshman team. This is my third year coaching at PGVBC, and I’m very excited to be coaching!  I look forward to working with all of the athletes!

12-Hovest: Assistant Coach Abbie Like

My name is Abbie Like and I graduated from McComb High School and Bluffton College.  I am currently in my 20th year of teaching Elementary Physical Education at Leipsic Local Schools.  I have coached 4 years of varsity Volleybal at Leipsic (2000-2003), and more recently coached 7th, 8th, and JV at McComb.  The past two years I have helped start and coach the 5th and 6th grade volleyball program at McComb.  My husband Gregg and I have 3 girls and a boy.  I am looking forward to coaching at PGVBC this year!

12-Maidlow: Coach Andrea Maidlow

My name is Andrea Maidlow, and I am an Intervention Specialist at Leipsic Local School. I graduated from Leipsic High School in 2001, and from BGSU in 2006 with a major in K-12 PE. I then graduated from Buffton University in 2011 with my Masters in Intervention. I have 6 years of coaching experience at different levels from Jr. High to JV. I previously coached for the Stars and Spikes Volleyball Club for a few years right after high school. I have been coaching off and on with PGVBC for 3 years now, and I am very excited for another club season.


13-Yarnell: Coach Steve Yarnell

Coach Yarnell has been the head volleyball coach at Bluffton University for the past 14 years.  While at Bluffton he has led the Beavers to two conference regular season titles and five trips to the NCAA Division III tournament.  Before coming to Bluffton he was the assistant coach at the University of Findlay.  Yarnell played for four years at Findlay on the men’s volleyball team.  He is married to Kelly and they have three children, Gracie, Toby, and Brady.

 

13-Warninment: Coach Madison Warninment

Hi! My name is Madison Warniment . I graduated from Leipsic High School in 2005 where I played six years of volleyball. I received 1st team PCL, 1st team BVC along with BVC Player of the Year, 1st team District 8, and All-Ohio Honorable Mention. While in high school I played 6 years of club volIeyball with Stars N Spikes. I then continued to play on in college attending Owens Community College where I played for an additional two years. While in college I coached one year of Freshman volleyball at Leipsic High School. I currently work at Blanchard Valley Urology as an Ultrasound Tech, am married and have two amazing little boys! This will be my 2nd year coaching for PGVBC, and I am very excited about the upcoming season.  I look forward to helping you advance your skills and having lots of fun in the process!

13-Gerten: Coach Haley Gerten

Hello I’m Haley Gerten! I graduated from Leipsic High School in 2014. I was a member of the Varsity Volleyball team all four years of school. Upon graduation I continued my volleyball career at Columbus State Community College. While in college, my team was able to finish among the final four teams in nationals for NJCAA. I’m currently the varsity assistant coach at Patrick Henry. I have experience with coaching volleyball and softball at the jr-high level as well. When I’m not working with NWO Beverage, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

13-Kleman: Coach Brooke Kleman

My name is Brooke Kleman, and I am a 2018 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf. At Ottawa-Glandorf, I was honored to have been on 1st Team WBL, 1st Team District 8, 3rd Team All-Ohio, and also set 3 records which includes having the most digs in a game, most digs in season, and most digs in a career.  Currently, I am a freshman defensive specialist at Bluffton University. This season I have been named Defensive Player of the Week once, Honorable Mention in HCAC, and freshman team of our conference as well.  I have played volleyball since 5th grade.  I played at Oiler Attack, and then continued to play at PGVBC for 4 years.  This is my first year coaching club, and I am looking forward to coaching with all of the coaches that have helped me become the best player I could be


14-Stechshulte: Coach Allison Stechshulte

My name is Allison Stechschulte. I graduated from Kalida High School in 2005 and was on the State Semi-Final team. I received 1st team PCL, 1st team District 8, 1st team All-Ohio, PCL Player of the Year, District 8 Player of the Year. I continued playing volleyball at Owens Community College for the next 2 years. While attending Owens, I coached club at TVC. After graduating from Owens, I started coaching JV at Kalida, and volunteered as an assistant coach to the varsity team for the next 4 years. Currently, I am the Varsity Assistant coach at Leipsic High School. I am very excited about this upcoming season and look forward to working with each individual player

14-Siefker: Coach Kayla Siefker

My name is Kayla Siefker and I graduated from Kalida High School in 2013. During my time at Kalida I received 1st team PCL, 2nd team District 8, District 8 Senior All-Star, and a PCL scholar athlete honors. After I graduated I went on the play at Owens Community College in Perrysburg for 2 years. After my final season playing for the express I coached club at PGVBC. After the club season I went on to finish my education and was the assistant varsity coach for Leipsic High School and the JV coach for the past 3 years.  This will be my 5th year coaching club for PGVBC. I am very excited about this upcoming club season and look forward to working with all of the athletes.

 

14-Morman: Coach Mikaylie Morman

I am a 2016 graduate of Pandora-Gilboa School.  As a volleyball player, I was named honorable mention in both the BVC and PCL Leagues my sophomore year.  My senior year I was name 2nd Team in the PCL League and Honorable Mention in the BVC League.  I was the JV coach at Pandora-Gilboa in 2017. I was the 7th grade coach for Leipsic in 2018.  This will be my 2nd year coaching club!  I absolutely love coaching and helping younger girls learn fundamentals and strengthen their talents to play at the next level!

14-Kusluch: Coach Madi Kusluch

Madison Kusluch is from Glenoak High school in canton OH, and is a Defensive specialist who played Varsity 3 out of 4 years. Played club volleyball for Ohio Xtreme where she hit outside and played all the way around her 15’s 16’ and 17’s years. Her 18’s year she was a libero for their clubs national team. She now is attending The University of Northwestern Ohio and just finished her first year of college volleyball as a DS.


15-Wolfe: Coach Kelsey Wolfe

Hi my name is Kelsey Wolfe.  I am the Varsity Volleyball coach at Ottoville High School.  This is my third year coaching at Ottoville.  I am a Kindergarten teacher at Lima City Schools.

15-Wolfe: Assistant Coach Hope Schroeder

My name is Hope Schroeder and I attended high school at Columbus Grove and graduated college from Rhodes State. I am currently working at Shawnee Manor as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Overall I have four year of volleyball coaching experience, I began coaching at the junior high level and now I am the JV coach at Columbus Grove High School. This is my second year coaching at PGVBC

15-Garmon: Coach Kelsey Garmon

This is my 3rd year coaching at PGVBC. I previously coached 7th grade at Ottawa Elementary. I am a 2013 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and 2017 graduate of the University of Findlay. I work as a social worker in Findlay. I am looking forward to another great season!

15-Schnipke: Coach Dana Schnipke

Dana Schnipke graduated from Leipsic High School in 2007. She played volleyball all throughout high school as well as participated in the Stars & Spikes Volleyball Club. After graduating high school, Dana went to college at Owens Community College and coached JV Volleyball at Leipsic. She also helped out the Basketball and Softball programs as their Varsity Assistants. After coaching for 4 years, Dana moved into an officiating role for volleyball, where she officiated Jr-High, Freshman and JV games. Dana has returned to the coaching field the last 2 years, coaching both CYO at Kalida and the 15’s at PGVBC. She is excited to start her 3rd year with such a great program! Dana now works as the Office Administrator at The Leipsic Community Center and is in charge of their Basketball and Volleyball Leagues


16-Moran: Coach Bob Moran

Bob Moran has been a Head Varsity Volleyball Coach for 20 years. He is currently the Head Coach at McComb High School. His overall record is 313-175. He has won 8 League Championships, 7 District Championships, 1 Regional Championship, and 1 trip to the Final 4 State Championship

 

16-McVicker: Coach Jordan McVicker

My name is Jordan McVicker.  I am currently the JV/ Assistant Varsity Coach at McComb High School.  I will be going on my third year coaching at McComb and was at Pandora-Gilboa High School for two years before that.  I have been a coach here at Pandora-Gilboa Volleyball Club for five years.  Outside of coaching I have a seven year old that keeps me busy with sports and extra-curricular activities

16-Kortokrax: Coach Mary Kortokrax

My name is Mary Kortokrax and I am the Varsity Assistant coach at Columbus Grove High School. This past season we were the co-champion of the NWC league. I previously coached at Kalida 2 years as the JV coach, 2 years volunteer assistant to the Varsity coach and 3 years as the 8th grade coach. This is my first year coaching at PGVC and I am looking forward to working with all the athletes


17-Gerdeman: Coach Amber Gerdeman

Amber Gerdeman will be entering her 3rd year of coaching club volleyball. This will be her first year at PGVBC, her two previous years were at Ohio Extreme out of Akron, Ohio. Amber is a 2014 graduate of Leipsic High School. She was a member of the varsity volleyball and basketball teams all four years. She played 5 years of club volleyball at Oiler Attack in Findlay, Ohio. She then continued her education at Kent State University where she received a scholarship to play volleyball. She received her degree in Integrated Social Studies. Amber lettered all four years at Kent State and got a lot of coaching experience by coaching tournaments, camps, and clinics. She had the opportunity to work with a number of college coaches and other former college volleyball players. Amber is now the head varsity volleyball coach at Patrick Henry High School in Hamler, Ohio.

 

17-Hermiller: Coach Olivia Hermiller

I am a 2016 Ottawa-Glandorf High School graduate where I played varsity volleyball for all 4 years of high school. I received 1st team WBL, 2nd team WBL, WBL Honorable mention, 1st team District 8, 2nd team District 8, District 8 All-Star team, and Crestview Invitational All-Tournament team throughout my high school career.

I was a part of the Owens Community College volleyball team in 2016-2018 while receiving my Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. At the national level, we placed 9th at in 2016 and placed 2nd in 2017  at the NJCAA tournament. Both seasons at Owens we won the OCCAC title and were the NJCAA Region XII Division III Volleyball Champions. Academically, I earned OCCAC’s All-Academic team in 2016-2018.

I transferred to the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2018 majoring in Health Administration, and competing on the volleyball team, where we finished our season with a record of 26-9. This will be my second year coaching for PGVBC and I am looking forward to it!
